Together we are stronger! I’ll meet you where you’re at and together we’ll face what you feared you could never change.”
It’s natural for human beings to aspire to greater things. Knowing just where to start can always be our first challenge. Many have outdated and inefficient models of their world that reflect habits that they have accumulated over the years. These models and habits may no longer serve them. These patterns that are stored in our neural circuitry are so deeply engrained that they have simply become unconscious, automatic thoughts and actions. There is much wisdom attached to becoming aware of outdated patterns of thought. This is called Emotional Intelligence (EQ). In psychological science an impressive argument supports that intelligence is far more than a high Intelligence Quotient, and that EQ may be even more important.
Learning interventions to distrupt your ‘no-longer-useful’ way of thinking may be just what you need to succeed in any arera of life.
If you have a niggling feeling that there’s more to life than what you’re currently experiencing, make a move today. It’s never too late to be the person you where were born to be!
It will become evident early on in your therapy sessions that it is possible to change your limiting beliefs. Once you understand that your toxic thought patterns are not really who you are, but rather, what you think you are, you are able to reprogram your brain. Creating new models of how you see the world, and a growth mindset may take a little while, but if you never start you may never know your true self.
Whether you attend a physical face-to-face session, or a video session from anywhere in the world, you will receive the exact same support. Consider us still face-to-face, for I can see you and you can see me, and that’s what counts! No matter where you are, what values and beliefs you hold or your cultural background, you have my utmost respect and support in helping you design your intentional life.
Should you do face-to-face therapy, online or perhaps a mixture of both? It really depends on personal preferences. However you decide to communicate with Paulette, you’ll find her collaborative approach to therapy both encouraging and relaxing. Using collaboratve communication is the beginning of stronger connections where you are more likely to feel heard and involved in the process of moving forward. This gives the working relationship more authenticity and creates a stronger foundation for working through issues that brought you to therapy.
No matter who you are or what you’re going through, this is a place where you’ll be heard and cared for. We might be strangers on the surface, but underneath we’re just the friends that haven’t met yet.
Don’t be afraid to speak about your dreams or goals, the more I understand you, the better our ability to communicate well, this is vital to the success of each session. Equally as important is your comfort level during our time together. Also remember, you are able to contact me in between sessions if you need to connect, clarify or confirm something we have discussed.
It can feel uncomfortable speaking to someone you don’t know about your personal issues, however, we both will know within the first 30 minutes if we are suited to work together. That’s reassuring!
If we have a phone call as our introducton to each other, please ask me any and many questions that you have that will help you make a decision about whether we’re suited. That’s reassuring!
With the introductions out of the way, you can relax during your first full session. Then, in between therapy sessions, you will have the opportunity to stay connected with me online. That’s reassuring!
